Welcome to my brand new blog!

Hello! Welcome to my blog and to my first update post!

So, here’s the thing: I’ve never done something like this before, “this” being run a website. I was a writing major, I know nothing about this kind of thing. “SEO”? “Marketing”? “Coding”??? Yeah, I don’t know how to do any of that, so take this as me saying, “Please be patient with me.” It may take me a while to fully get a hang of this stuff, so you’ll (hopefully) notice this site slowly improving from this point onward. And if you have any feedback or tips, I’d greatly appreciate that!

I also will try my best to be consistent with posting here and on my socials. I know there’s ways to automate posting on socials, but that feels so impersonal, I don’t wanna do that, at least not to start out. So forgive me if posts are not quite weekly, or if some socials are updated more often than others. But know this!! I am committed to this website, this I promise you. She’s my baby, and I will watch her grow into a beautiful jumble of ones and zeros.

Ah, yes, you may be wondering why I made this website in the first place. Mostly, I wanted a place to share my writing and art. As I’m sure every Gen Z person knows, the current job market is actual ass, and I’ve decided to take my ahem “free time” to focus on what really matters to me, and that’s my writing. I figured starting my own blog would not only serve as a good portfolio for my work, but it’d also encourage me to write more often. It also is giving me something else to focus on instead of despairing and doomscrolling. I can feel productive doing this, and that’s really something I need right now.
