Judith talks about Minecraft for a long time

I’ve been contemplating all week about what I’d post today. Problem is, I’m still not sure what to say! There’s been a lot on my mind this week, but most of my thoughts have been preoccupied by this website. This is a new venture for me, a big step, so it makes sense that it’s occupying so much of my brain space recently. Well, this and Minecraft. Should… should I tell you guys about my Minecraft world? Why not, this is basically just a digital diary anyway.

Ok, so my boyfriend found this Minecraft modpack called “Raspberry Flavoured” (yes, with the British spelling of flavored), and it’s so much fun, oh my god. Vanilla Minecraft is fun, but this modpack adds more crops to farm, more animals, cooking, FURNITURE!!! IT ADDS FUNCTIONAL FURNITURE! Like actually shut up, I can’t handle it.

My little house is so cute; I found this tutorial (video embedded below) for the cutest cottage house, altered the interior a bit, and I’m so in love with it. It’s such a darling shape with the little porch and the planters UGH!! IT’S JUST SO CUTE!!!

I usually follow tutorials when I build because I’m lowkey a perfectionist, BUT! I am learning from these tutorials, and the little builds I do by myself have definitely been improving!

Oh, also, this modpack includes a mod called “Apathy Mod” that lets you configure which mobs are passive, which are passive until you hit them, and which are aggressive. This mod? A life saver. I’m someone who often will play vanilla Minecraft on peaceful mode because I don’t like dealing with the mobs attacking me, but I always struggle when I do that because I can’t get the mob drops I need to craft certain items. So with this mod, I can make it so the mobs are still there when I need their loot, but they aren’t always aggressive! It’s literally perfect for me.

Oh, this modpack also adds Create mod stuff (like engines, machines, windmills, things like that), and, listen, we all know I’m a writing major. I am far from an engineer, so figuring out how to build these machines has been difficult, AND YET! I, the humble writing major, was able to build a working elevator! I built an underground area with a few auto farms and my nether portal, and I built an elevator down to it. I was so proud of myself, I gotta say. I plan on making more floors with more farms, and I’m so excited to extend my elevator shaft and decorate more floors.

I’ve also been trying to build a frog light farm. I don’t wanna talk about how many times I’ve died by falling in the lava. It’s ok though ’cause my boyfriend showed me how to turn on the “keep inventory” cheat, so I didn’t lose all my items every time I died, thank god. I was still this close to rage quitting though, I will not lie to you.

Damn, I talked about Minecraft for a while here, huh? So sorry to the non-gamers reading this; I know this must sound like absolute gibberish to you. I could explain it more for you, but honestly… I don’t even know where to begin. If you don’t know what Minecraft is, just imagine if playing with Lego was a first person video game. You mine. You craft. You have a grand ol’ time. Also, this isn’t sponsored. It sounds like it’s sponsored; I’m giving it a lot of praise. I wish it was sponsored! Yo, Mojang, hit me up. Big fan of your game.

Anyway, I guess I’ll end this post here! Thanks for reading me ramble about Minecraft for far too long. I will probably make an Updates post later this week where I talk more about what upcoming content I’m working on or planning to upload. Also, to the gamers and non-gamers alike, not every Weekly Thoughts post will be about Minecraft, I swear, bro, for real. Apologies and/or don’t worry, depending on how you felt about my ramblings today. I hope you have a wonderful day, and thank you again for reading this and just for being here. It really means a lot.

P.S. How unprofessional would it be if I occasionally hit y’all with an “lol” or an emoticon? Would y’all be into that? Or is that a little too casual for this setting? Leave a comment down below; let me know what you think. Ok, bye!
